'God is the protector. Godliness is
strength. But sometimes, devotion to god turns as murder' said Alfred The
Great, The Roman Emperor of London, 6 A.D. seeing the religious practices of
Roman people. Not so long ago, our eyes were filled with the news of a terrible
stampede at Sabarimala Hills when the devotees of Lord Ayyapan were made to
face last year. This is a news which touched our ears and heart and of course,
not the mind and eventually faded away. This is one of the few religious deaths
-which are both man-made and natural - in the so many deaths the world has seen
so far. One such biggest 'religious' massacre which happens continuously over
the last few years and the casualties climb up the ladder of death toll year by
year are the pilgrims who devote and 'chance their lives' to Amarnath. This
particular Amarnath Yatra is the biggest Indian pilgrimage in the Indian
sub-continent and has been followed ever since the first foreigner Vasco da
Gama of Spain landed in the country. The biggest mishap in the last few years
just shows that it’s no more a perfect holy performance rather it may be
accounted as risking the lives of people trying to obtain holiness. This is
truly unfair in the part of the state and central governments if they fail to
consider this growing havoc and to reduce the risk in undergoing such devotion.
The nobleness in portraying the goodness lies within the man itself. If in
case, he seeks the ability of an external supernatural force to withstand him,
he has to be adorned in good hands. This maybe a result of the year long
following of religious practices and that cannot be curtailed. Even in the year
2009, when the death toll was 45 pilgrims - many who were dead due to cardiac
arrest and pulmonary diseases - the government by the next year should have
organized many medical base camps in all the possible ways through the yatra.
Instead the matter was still in negotiation and the decisions were not fruitful
either. Unfortunately the catastrophe just got bigger by the next year,
counting the carcasses up to 68 and 97 in 2011. This is mostly because of the
fact that most of the pilgrims are middle-aged and old-aged men and women are
vulnerable to heart problems. We can't avoid such cases; instead we could
better the efficacy of the authorities to organize a risk-free pilgrimage. It
may sound weird to talk about conducting medical camps at an astounding
altitude of 12755 feet from the sea level, but given the wide welfare and the
prospective and chances our nation possesses, this sounds really possible.
Taking into serious consideration the causalities in the ongoing year - 97 so
far in the 28 days of the total 39-day pilgrimage - the responsibility is with
the government. Further, there needs to be a medical screening or test for the
pilgrims and reasonable health care has to be delivered. Meanwhile, the
pilgrims also are needed to be taught of analyzing their capability to attend
such life-potential-outraging pilgrimage. Awareness has to be created to the
religious masses through media, religious bodies, etc. Although it may be
against the religious practices followed, some rules can be broke in a
civilization which is longing to grow. The chief minister of Jammu &
Kashmir, Mr. Omar Abdullah - the youngest Chief Minister India has ever
obtained, then - has said the same opinion. Really at this crucial juncture of
human outrage, some decisions could change the fate of a whole nation. Wish the
responsible authorities are brave enough to decide which is better and are courageous
to make laws that would outlaw the present (f)laws. It’s not what you are
underneath, it’s what we do that defines you. God, Man, God. God made man. Man
made god. This is where human civilization began. As said, there is god in man
and he can do anything possible or impossible. This is really true, because he
is the one who even created the God - The Almighty -. So men, let’s leave our
madness in the name of godliness. Bravo!!
A phenomenal and everlasting legacy begins with the very first thought! An idea is even costlier than the end product itself.. I believe that I should be the change to the ever-expecting society which has brought me up!

We could better be human!!
Not so long ago, when human beings -
the darest living species on planet Earth - grew a world that made the lives of
the entire world beautiful. This may be heartening for the 7billionth child
born last year as now she sees only the world that could be far away in her
wildest dreams. The biggest question is what happened between the first human
being born and the 7billionth one? That is planet Earth all about! It may just
take a single line to post a question like this, but the enormity of damage
that was witnessed by the total living species all these years is better than
the worst! We fail to see life as a gift; 'we' here refers to the so-called human
beings including the writer. We misunderstand life! The theme of a purposeful
life has been completely vanished! The character of compassion, kindness,
benevolence and truthfulness is hard to seek and find! It is better to be
playing the child-games than be on the competitive race starting from mid-20s
to early 60s. Everyone who has seen this world with a narrow-minded thought has
disappeared like the sand dunes in deserts. All great men who are still
remembered are just because they lived a life with a human feeling. The feeling
of oneness and humanity was in their blood and thus, they are here amidst us as
statues, inspirational figures, currency notes, postal stamps, offices and
still in the hearts of some men. Nowadays, the common man is more like a
machine. He runs behind money; he runs for fame; he runs for settling his life;
he keeps running; but finally forgets that the run never ends and that the run
for settling life is still a run! The world is full of doubts and
inconsistency. The aspect of being betrayed by the fellow beings is inevitable.
Nobody in this world is sure of what they need to do and how. The questions are
plenty but answers are less. The seekers are more but solvers dry in this vast
sand-ocean. We have got achievers but they even aren't content. As said always,
god has betrayed. He gave everything that one needs to find themselves happy
but he failed to give the quality of 'contentment'! The seekers keep seeking
until the seek becomes sick. The world would be empty. If there are no buyers,
who will be the sellers? Similarly, a common man would soon be deprived of
everything a child born on this planet has to ask for - food, water, shelter!
Where are we going ahead? Sorry, ahead is contradictory here. Yes, even we are
not sure whether we are moving ahead or not. It’s an utter useless life if we
fail to give back something useful to the nature which has till now brought us
up. Further, we are human beings and are written on our forehead to leave this
great earth one day. None knows when the D-day is. So what is there in living a
meaningful life within that 'life' period? What is there in sharing love,
smiling at people, admiring nature, adoring calmness, authenticating calmness,
adobing your colors of happiness on the life's portraits? It's not work. It's a
process. It's not justification. It's mere acceptance! He who lives life to the
most is considered god! We needn't be gods; let’s just be the children of them!
Love your neighbors. Share your good thoughts with friends. Keep your family
together. Make your workplace as heaven. If you are a leader, make your
followers praise you. Be good to them and they'll repose their likeness on you
through faith and hard work. There is nothing bigger than forgiving. There is
nothing worse than betraying. Forgive and forget the worst; target and treasure
the best! Let’s be the ambassadors of goodwill and the ghost-riders of bad! Let’s
be the promoters of peace and Prometheus of terror. At least if not for others,
let’s be true to our ourselves. Let’s accept that everyone born on the planet
is meant for a purpose. Let’s believe nature is our friend and we are their
brothers - because even before man was born, trees came into existence - and
not foe. Let’s appreciate ourselves and give the world of confidence. Life is beautiful
and we are blessed to the best of possibility to be born with six senses. Even
species with a single sense goes with the nature, why aren't we? The answer
lies within, search for it! Live life; years are rolling! Time never stops;
tide never stops! Spread the cheer; sky is constant; earth is constant; air is
constant; truth is constant. We could better be human!!

Cruel Roses!
----- An ode to friendship!! -----
What’d have the world been
without disgust?
A world only with happiness and
prosperity!?
A world featuring transparency
and tranquility!?
No, it’s a world filled with
friends and family.
A cruel rose binds people selflessly and taxingly!
It sets the hearts to fire rather rapidly!!
Once some force brings its cruelty out;
The thorns of the roses show their way out…
The intensity of that cruelty is hard to explain;
The curiosity of people hurted gets out of terrain…
I owe my fate to myself only, as who sows the seeds
Reaps; gets everything and if present too, its weeds!
Nevertheless, one needs to understand that happiness
Is not only the way to express the willingness!!
It’s also the medium telling the close ones,
How much we care them in spite of proneness?!
Our world is too small to ignore that smallest news,
So it made me up to see you as the very good harness;
It leads to my end of time and I begin from there,
As a nation’s solitary soldier to wage a warfare!
Given up the need that I go in search of good;
Far across the world through nation and wood;
I found you surprisingly rather wittingly
And it transformed my life beautifully…
Life at its outset is a bed of roses and phrases!
It starts with a group of happy-makers and pauses;
And transfers to a world of freshness and gives
Us the way our life has to be learnt and taught!
Taken in the grittiness of one’s heart forms their core,
Your pleasing face alone made me to spring roar!
I’m indeed blessed to have what many others don’t,
And in this limited space I’m a witless ant than rot!
I have the gift of making things together easier;
I have the blessing of getting friends sweeter;
In spite of featuring all those exceptional talent,
I’m still waiting for the sun to set in this unknown planet!
Lot of people has said it’s better to be praying!
Than blessing; it’s better to be preying than giving;
But mind everyone, there is no good in doing bad;
There is no god in the place of guilt and people sad!
All I had done is only for you, whatever!
I wonder why it takes so much time, whatsoever!
For you to understand me and come back
To the place you lived happily heaven-like!!
We talked for hours like none have ever done so,
We grew our lives together always happily oh!
We were the ambassadors of goodwill from heaven!
There were not many people with such haven!
You spelt my name the most wonderfully!!
I had leapt leaps and bounds blissfully;
Though the penchant for repeated interests grew;
The alter came to effect with liabilities all new…
Out of all the things you told only the promises
Still dominate in me; those are real treasures
Embarked in my armory and a line leads ever,
You said, ‘hope our friendship lives forever’!!
Remember those days dear; we were happier than gods;
Even making them jealous! Richer in pleasure than the kings;
Planting greediness in them over us!! Your countless words,
Only mean my countless days I’d be happy on these herds!
Come back friend, there is no other escape route to cheer;
I just need your friendship and not any other thing, you
hear!
There is nothing more than you in me which is so full of
life;
Your sole word of forgiveness would give my life a rebirth
hype…
